Domaine Girard, Initio Pinot Noir 2019

Domaine Girard is now into its fifth generation of family ownership and its current custodian, Phillippe Girard, is an award-winning winemaker. With small vineyards located across France, his Initio range was created to highlight region-specific styles and varieties across France. The Initio Pinot Noir is taken from Limoux, in the Languedoc region of southern France. Made from 100% Pinot Noir taken from vines at least 30-years-old, the nose bursts with notes of fresh and wild berries. The fruitiness on the palate is underscored by a subtle floral note along with some spice. A good vibrant acidity balances the fruitiness, and adds to the finish. A great wine to pair with a cheeseboard or game.
